GSA Video Documents Role in 2008 Transition

Under the Presidential Transition Act of 1963 and 2000, GSA plays a major role in supporting the transfer of power from one administration to the next.  From the start of GSA’s transition planning, which began more than two years prior to the 2008 election, to the signing of the official letter recognizing then President-elect Obama’s victory, GSA ensured an orderly and efficient transfer of power.
