Paging, Pagers and Services

Agencies can purchase pagers and paging services through a variety of purchasing programs:

Networx is replacing the FTS2001 and Crossover contracts, which used to offer pagers and paging services. With the exception of disconnects, no new orders can be accepted. Further, no changes can be made to types of service, customers, numbers, or equipment. Please contact the GSA POC if you have any questions.

MCI offers pagers for lease, and service plans for local, regional, and nationwide coverage. Choices available are: One-way and alpha-numeric; assured delivery; and two-way and interactive paging service plans.

Arch Wireless was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract on October 22, 2004, for two base years, renewable for two option years. This contract provides advanced wireless personal communications equipment and services for federal agencies nationwide, including One-way and two-way paging; wireless email application; purchase and lease of paging equipment, training, customer, support, maintenance, add-on services; and direct ordering/billing and consolidation.

Metrocall Wireless was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract on October 22, 2004, for two base years, and renewable for two option years. This contract provides advanced wireless personal communications equipment and services for federal agencies nationwide, including: one-way and two-way paging, wireless email application; blackberry; purchase and lease of paging equipment, training, customer support, maintenance, add-on services; and direct ordering/billing and consolidation. Other services include Aligo - WorkTrack Wireless Timecard; Mobile Access, Wireless email; Safetynet group Messaging; Boingo – WiFi Services; and M2M Services. Metrocall Wireless offers discounted contract rates to authorized federal government agencies and organizations eligible to use GSA sources of supply and services.

SkyTel Corporation was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract on October 22, 2004, for two base years, renewable for two option years. This contract provides advanced wireless personal communications equipment and services for federal agencies nationwide. Specialized, dedicated SkyTel government team members consult directly with the ordering agencies to help determine specific requirements, customize quotes and assist with ordering, implementation, and training. Services available include: one-way numeric and alphanumeric paging; international service in several countries, with toll-free in-country message retrieval for over 40 countries; two-way assured delivery and two-way interactive paging; message delivery notification and read/acknowledgment receipt; BlackBerry, and the alternative Apriva SENSA wireless email applications; wireless asset and vehicle/fleet tracking; and paging services for the deaf/hard-of-hearing. Additional services include: equipment maintenance and loss protection, personal 800 numbers, voice mail, caller ID, nationwide service on-demand, operator-assisted paging, fax notification via pager, group broadcasting, and other add-on services; purchase and lease of paging equipment; user and application training; 24/7 toll-free government customer support; direct ordering/billing; and consolidation of pagers.
