Scope Compatibility Reviews for Prospective Alliant Information Technology (IT) Service Orders

The Alliant GWAC is intended for information technology (IT) services and integrated IT services-based solutions task orders. The Alliant scope is tied to the definition of IT in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) at FAR 2.101. Upon request, the Enterprise GWAC Center will provide courtesy scope compatibility reviews for any IT services and integrated IT services-based solutions requirement proposed for issuance under Alliant. Before submitting your request, a Delegation of Procurement Authority should be issued to the Ordering Contracting Officer to use the Alliant GWAC.

The following should be included with the request:

  • Complete the Scope Compatibility Review Request Form (form attached below).
  • Attach a copy of the Statement of Work/Objective (SOW/SOO).
  • Provide the Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE), if available, to include labor categories and hours or Estimated Dollar Amount with options and incumbent information, as applicable.
  • Indicate any specific questions that you want addressed as well as any urgent deadline by which you need a response.

An email response indicating whether the requirement appears to be within the scope of Alliant can typically be provided within 2 to 5 business days.

Alliant scope reminders:

  • The overall objective of the requirement must be an IT services-based solution.
  • Ancillary Support is allowed as long as it is integral and necessary to the overall IT solution.
  • Renting/Leasing of real and personal property in support of the IT solution is allowed as long as the government is not a party on the lease.
  • A full spectrum of contract types allowed; however, Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) are not allowed.
