Lease Construction of a Consolidated Campus for the National Cancer Institute Montgomery County, MD - Environmental Assessment
GSA is proposing the lease construction of a consolidated campus in Montgomery County for the National Cancer Institute (NCI). An Environmental Assessment (EA) is being prepared that will analyze the impacts that could result from the proposed action and its alternatives.
The EA evaluates a no action alternative and three action alternatives. The action alternatives differ in the location of the NCI campus at either The Preserve at Tower Oaks, Rockville, Maryland; the Washington Science Center Campus, North Bethesda, Maryland; or the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center, Rockville, Maryland. The impacts of each of these alternatives on the natural and man-made environment are analyzed in the Draft EA.
Environmental Assessment
GSA is now accepting public comments concerning the Draft EA. Comments received on the Draft EA will be considered and responded to in the Final EA and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), if a FONSI is deemed appropriate for the proposed action.
GSA welcomes comments on the Draft EA through November 20, 2009; written comments and inquiries regarding this project should be submitted to:
