GSA Appoints Channing Ansley Grate Deputy Associate Administrator for Media Affairs and Rebecca Barnes Executive Assistant to the Office of Administrator
WASHINGTON — The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) appointed Channing Ansley Grate as Deputy Associate Administrator for Media Affairs in the Office of Strategic Communications and Rebecca Barnes as Executive Assistant to the Office of Administrator.
Grate brings to the role more than 15 years of experience in government, nonprofit, and political communications. Prior to joining GSA, Grate served as the director of public affairs at a media and public affairs firm, where she was responsible for providing integrated communications services to non-profit organizations and advocacy groups. Previously, Grate served as communications director in the office of the Missouri Governor and worked on numerous political campaigns. She is a graduate of Columbia University in New York.
Barnes is a seasoned executive assistant with a history of working closely with executives and helping them reach their strategic goals. Before GSA, she worked as Special Assistant to the Chief Technology Officer in the Democratic National Committee and has supported several senior executives in the private sector. Barnes is a graduate of Louisiana State University.
