BC3 Overview
The current contract, National Broker Contract 2 (NBC2) is the second of its kind, issued in 2010 at the expiration of its predecessor, known as NBC1. The current contract is a one-year contract, with five one-year options, and is currently in its second option year.
Broker Contract 3 (BC3) is the potential replacement or follow on contract to National Broker Contract 2 (NBC2).
PBS is already hard at work developing a strategy to launch the third generation of its broker services program. Accordingly, the PBS Office of Leasing is eagerly seeking ideas to improve upon the previous two versions of the contract, incorporate new innovative approaches and strategies, and lessons learned from the previous contracts.
As PBS pursues innovative ways to structure the next contract, we are interested in alternative approaches to the contract and the overall program that would enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, generate greater competition, and increase small business opportunities - all while still remaining a best value for the government. We are interested in learning about:
- Alternative approaches to tasking
- Comparisons of national versus zonal contracts
- Increasing small business opportunities
- Utilization strategies/targets to achieve best value
- Alternatives to the current commission and rent structure
- Approaches to obtaining post award services
- Methods of evaluating performance of brokers
