Assisted Acquisition Services
Federal agencies and the military looking for value-added, customized acquisition, project management and financial management services can count on GSA to get the outcome they need to meet their agency goals. Many agencies and the military do not have contracting staff - or have too much work for their existing staff to handle.
Agencies needing assistance with procurements should contact the Rocky Mountain Region Assisted Acquisition Service (AAS) at (877)734-8387. AAS provides this niche service for those who are not able to do the procurements themselves.
AAS specializes in GSA-managed acquisitions using Government wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), Multiple Award Schedules (MAS), and Section 8(a) set-asides to procure hardware, software, integrated services and professional services as required by client agencies.
GSA-managed acquisitions allow client agencies to delegate some or all of the elements of the acquisition. When clients call, they tap the skills of seasoned government contracting officers and professional certified master project managers who help define the client's needs and the best acquisition methods to employ.
AAS provides technical, acquisition, program and financial management services customized to each project as directed by the client. GSA will define requirements, write statements of work, perform market surveys, develop acquisition strategies, run technical evaluation boards, and evaluate best value. AAS then manages the project after award, including scheduling, deliverables, cost, accounts-payable, financial oversight and will close the task order when completed.
Depending on agency requirements, GSA manages contractor performance, project funding and invoice payment, and any 8(a) and/or small business credit goes back to the client agency.
AAS can also provide acquisition support for the following requirements:
• Facilities Management (03FAC-Facilities Maintenance Schedule)
