GSA Awards Millennia Lite IT Support Services Contracts

Washington -- The U. S. General Services Administration's Federal Technology Service (FTS) today announced the award of the third in a series of four major information technology support services contracts under the Millennia Lite program. Ten multiple award indefinite quantity contracts were awarded for Functional Area 1, Information Technology Planning, Studies and Assessment. The maximum dollar value for all contracts awarded under Millennia Lite is $20 billion.

"In conjunction with the Information Technology Management Reform Act, these FTS solutions will fully enable federal departments and agencies to comply with the planning and reporting requirements," said FTS Commissioner Sandra Bates.

The following 10 companies were awarded Information Technology Planning, Studies and Assessment contracts:

Calibre System, Inc., Falls Church, VA
CEXEC, Inc., Dulles, VA
Data Networks Corp., Reston, VA
EDSI, Yorba Linda, CA
SI International, Inc., Gaithersburg, MD
Soza & Co., Ltd., Fairfax, VA
Sytex, Inc., Tinton Falls, NJ
User Technology Associates, Inc., Arlington, VA

Anticipated services under contracts include: business case analysis (costs/benefit and risk); performance measurements; independent validation and verification of systems development projects; measuring IT progress; return on investment, earned value and compliance with federal interoperability standards and enterprise architectures as intended by Clinger-Cohen; studies and analyses to enhance agency compliance with OMB Circulars A-76 and A-130.

Each of the multiple award indefinite quantity contracts has a base period of three years, plus award term options to extend services up to a total of 10 years. Orders under the contracts may be fixed-price, cost reimbursement, time and materials or labor hour. These contracts are available for use by all Federal agencies worldwide.

Millennia Lite is comprised of four functional areas. Each area was awarded separately. The four areas are: information technology planning, studies and assessment; high-end information technology services; mission support services; and legacy systems migration and new enterprise systems development.

"Once again, FTS has broadened its series of value-added contracts to serve the federal community," said Bob Suda, Assistant Commissioner for Information Technology Integration . "This will increase GSA's broad offerings and shows that GSA has the answer for all IT needs."
The contracts were awarded by the GSA's Federal Technology Service, Information Technology Acquisition Center (ITAC) co-located in Fort Worth, TX and Atlanta, GA.
