Washington, DC -- Frank P. Pugliese, Jr, Commissioner of the Federal Supply Service, U.S. General Services Administration, received the Industry Recognition Award from more than seventy contract furniture and furnishings companies. The award cites the public/private partnership initiatives and overall quality improvements and innovations instituted by GSA under Pugliese's leadership.
The presentation was made during GSA's National Furniture Center's Quality Partnership Council meeting which was held in conjunction with the GSA National Products and Services Expo in San Diego, CA, earlier this month.
In accepting the award, Pugliese praised the furniture industry, GSA's Mid-Atlantic Region, and GSA's National Furniture Center "for their vision and proactive business practices that drive where we as an organization are going".
GSA's National Furniture Center partners with America's furniture industry to provide high quality furniture, furnishings and floor covering products at deeply discounted prices for use by civilian and military government activities in the United States and around the world.
