Area Property Officers

The utilization, donation, and sales processes are conducted by the Personal Property Management Offices in conjunction with Area Property Officers (APOs). The APOs are GSA field representatives who screen and inspect excess property within their assigned geographic area.

APOs lend assistance in the property disposal processes by:

  • Providing training to federal agencies;
  • Providing onsite assistance in the disposition of long supply and material return property; and
  • Expediting the disposition of property resulting from agency renovations, relocations, or space reductions.
