GSA’s biennial celebration of outstanding design was held in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center Amphitheater on March 24, 2005. It marked the tenth anniversary of the Design Excellence Program.
The jury for this competition used seven criteria to evaluate 143 submissions. The judges looked at everything from success in meeting project requirements and functional proficiency to aesthetic sensibility and cost efficiency. Only 16 awards were bestowed.
The winning projects provide quality federal work environments at the best value to the taxpayers. And they inspire! The following list identifies projects that were honored at the GSA Design Awards Ceremony.
