The Great Lakes Region is dedicated to providing safe and nurturing child care environments for the children of federal employees in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Find out more about federal child care services by:
- Contacting your local Great Lakes Region Child Care Center;
- Scheduling an interview with the specific child care center's director to discuss individual child care needs and arrange a tour of the facility; and
- Providing the necessary information for the child care center to process an application.
Federal employees may be eligible for child care subsidies through the Federal Employee Subsidy Program.
All of GSA's Great Lakes Region child care centers have been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The NAEYC assesses child care centers against rigorous standards for health and safety, staffing, staff qualifications, physical environment, and administration. NAEYC accreditation recognizes the highest standards in the nation for early childhood programs.
