Waste Reduction & Recycling

DFC 2013 electronic waste recycling eventAgency clients at the Denver Federal Center can count on GSA to seek cost effective and sustainable solutions to the challenges of waste management and recycling. GSA separates solid waste from clients into hazardous waste, recyclable materials, construction waste, and municipal waste. The term "solid waste" means the unwanted or discarded material resulting from federal agency tenants' normal, day-to-day activities within buildings managed by GSA's Rocky Mountain Region. This comprehensive approach to solid waste continues to provide challenges and rewards to GSA's employees and our customers.

Each GSA region administers its own programs involving the proper handling, hauling, and recycling of materials, and submits data to GSA's National Office. In July 2013 the Denver Federal Center hosted its 7th Annual Electronic Recycling Event.
