GSA Adds More Hybrids to Federal Vehicle Fleet

GSA recently added 55 new Saturn Aura hybrid-electric vehicles to the federal vehicle fleet, for use by the military services and six other federal agencies.  These vehicles join a federal fleet of 208,000 - of which nearly a third are alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) and hybrid-electrics (HEVs).

Since 1991, GSA has purchased more than 140,000 of these vehicle types and in fiscal year 2007, GSA ordered more than 24,000 additional AFVs and HEVs for use by federal agencies.
