GSA Ranks in Top 10 by Buildings Magazine

Posted September 24, 2007

GSA was ranked ninth in Buildings Magazine’s annual “A List “ of top 25 organizations to watch. The annual Who’s Who in the Building Market spotlights organizations that have distinguished themselves in the commercial and institutional buildings industry.

“Although PBS is a government agency, it operates much like a private sector real estate organization - a remarkable accomplishment given its hefty responsibilities and geographic sprawl,” the magazine said on its website adding that “PBS aims to be the provider of choice for federal agencies and to provide lasting value in everything it does. Based upon its performance metrics, this entrepreneurial government agency is getting things done.”

The magazine recognized the following projects as prime illustrations of GSA’s "bold entrepreneurial approach to the business of buildings":

  • Wayne L. Morse Courthouse in Eugene, Oregon;
  • The San Francisco Federal Building;
  • U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters, Suitland, MD;
  • Satellite Operations Center for The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)in Suitland, MD
