Johnson Aims to Transform GSA

Speaking at the Federal Office Systems Exposition, the Washington area's largest trade show for government products and services, GSA Administrator Martha N. Johnson outlined plans to transform the agency into a change agent committed to delivering innovative solutions. “For GSA to succeed, we must seize change so that our customer can fulfill their missions in today’s world," she said. “We must deliver innovation solutions, not solutions and tools that may have worked in the past.” Johnson also noted in her speech that the agency has the ability to demonstrate leadership and innovation in two arenas of government operations: sustainability and open government. Hundreds of industry and government acquisition and information technology professional turned out to hear Johnson’s remarks.
