Household Goods Transportation

The vast majority of civilian agencies procure household goods services via GSA’s Centralized Household Goods Traffic Management Program (CHAMP). CHAMP is a worldwide relocation program that offers consistent pricing structure, highly competitive rates, comprehensive tender of service, vetted suppliers, and a customer satisfaction index built into the program. A tender procurement does not require a FAR contracting action to purchase household goods services. This allows agencies quick access to competed rates procured exclusively by GSA for federal agencies and approved contractors.

Benefits of CHAMP:

The Rights and Responsibilities Pamphlet [PDF - 43.75 KB] is the source for information regarding a relocating employee's rights and responsibilities, as well as a mover's responsibilities when transporting an employee's household goods. Relocating employees should review this brochure before planning to move.
