How to Buy Vehicles
GSA Vehicle Purchasing offers an array of deeply-discounted vehicle solutions to meet all of an agency’s vehicle purchasing needs. When using the GSA Vehicle Purchasing program, customers are ensured direct and easy access to a full spectrum of vehicle solutions. GSA is a mandatory source, under FPMR 101-26.501, for purchases of new non-tactical vehicles for DOD, federal executive agencies and other eligible users.
AutoChoice Vehicles, Products, and Services
Ordering has never been easier when you use GSA’s online tool, AutoChoice. AutoChoice lets you compare manufacturers, configure vehicles,choose equipment and color options, and view side by side comparisons of vehicle models from manufacturers to help you make a best value selection. You can also use AutoChoice to check your order status, get miles per gallon fuel ratings, select dealerships, run reports and much more! Vehicles purchased through AutoChoice are built-to-order.

Non-Standard orders can be placed using AutoChoice. After receipt of your request, GSA Vehicle Purchasing can help you customize any non-tactical vehicle and provide project planning, design, construction, and project management through delivery of your customized vehicle. Vehicle Purchasing Superstore
GSA has two Federal Supply Schedule solutions that can also fulfill your vehicle needs! When using Schedules, you can access vendors directly to place an order for vehicles or accessories, or orders can be placed using AutoChoice. After receipt of your request, GSA can place the order on your behalf. More information on these options is available through our CARS line at (703) 605-CARS (2277).
Customers contract with pre-approved vendors and benefit from “most-favored customer” pricing with GSA Schedules (also referred to as Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) and Federal Supply Schedules (FSS). Please refer to letter from the GSA Federal Acquisition Service, Order Placement Procedures for MAS [WORD, 41KB] explaining the MAS ordering procedures. For more information, please review the steps outlined in the presentation "Using 23V for Supplies and Services" [PPTX, 87KB].
Schedule 23V: This Schedule offers a wide variety of specialty vehicles and accessories, including:
Fire Fighting Apparatus and Attachments;
Law Enforcement Vehicles and Attachments;
Special Vocational Vehicles and Attachments;
Construction Equipment and Attachments;
- Snow Maintenance Equipment;
Aircraft Ground Support Vehicles and Equipment;
Low Speed Vehicles;
Trailers and Attachments;
Leased Heavy Duty Vehicle and Accessories; and
Vehicle Purchasing Body and Repair Services.
Schedule 751: This Schedule offers commercial leasing of sedans and light trucks that permits agencies to fulfill their short term leasing needs via 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36 month leases on:
- SUVs; and
- Light Trucks.
Sometimes you have an urgent need for a vehicle solution and need it NOW! Express Desk can help you purchase off-the-lot vehicle solutions with the proper justifications. GSA Program Office
If you don’t find what you need and need to purchase it on your own, you are required to request a waiver from GSA’s mandatory use designation.
