How federal agencies have used TEMS
The Department of Homeland Security achieves a 245% return on investment
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) awarded a small business on TEMS a project to consolidate buying and management for 16,000 wireless lines. The industry partner currently manages over 21,000 for CBP.
Over the course of the project the industry partner was able to identify over $6.9M in savings and reduce the average cost for common equipment from $52.59 to $44.03. CBP now has a more accurate view of their inventory and spend, as well as insight into optimization opportunities like eliminating zero-use accounts and overage sources.
