About the Event

The Emerging Digital Technology & Government Summit @Santa Monica is hosted by Congressman Ted Lieu, GSA's Pacific Rim Regional Administrator and Senior Technology Advisor Andrew McMahon, and Cross Campus [a nongovernment website]. The summit is part of an effort to facilitate open dialogue between federal government policy makers, the local technology industry and academia about the government's growing demand for emerging technology. The intent is to identify areas where the tech industry can help government agencies meet their technology needs.

Topics include:

  • Demonstrating programs and experiments GSA's 18F digital services team is conducting to attract talent and digital solutions to the federal marketplace;
  • Providing an opportunity for the government to hear from information technology producers about the challenges of doing business with the government; and
  • Networking and information gathering on how to do business with the federal government.

11:20 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. 60 minutes Booth + Networking: The booth will be staffed by SMEs who can provide information about how to do business with the federal government.

Who Should Attend

Target audiences include the makers of innovative digital solutions who would like to do business with the federal government and current GSA vendors—though anyone is welcome to attend (space permitting).
