Cloud Contract Fostering Innovation in Government (Cloud ConFIG)

We're developing a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract (IDIQ)—referred to as Cloud ConFIG (Cloud Contract Fostering Innovation in Government). It will provide the following:

  • Cloud services such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Professional services
  • Cloud-enabling technologies

Defense and Civilian Agencies

Through partnering with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and collaborating with other stakeholder agencies, GSA is optimizing Cloud ConFIG by baking-in support for DoD security requirements. These inclusions will benefit both defense and civilian customers, further positioning Cloud ConFIG as the government's go-to cloud computing acquisition vehicle.

Timeline

We plan to release a draft of the Cloud ConFIG solicitation in FY16.

In February 2015, we started market research for the new contract and received a highly positive overall response toward developing a new contract.

Draft solicitation development is currently underway. As part of this effort, we posted a business case component to OMB MAX for a 15-day comment period (now closed). The PMO continues to work toward posting the final business case. The draft RFP is planned for release on FedBizOpps in FY16.
