More than 200 Massachusetts business owners gathering to hear how to do business with governmentGSA Regional Administrator Bob Zarnetske joined Senator Elizabeth Warren, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration Maria Contreras-Sweet, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and SBA Regional Administrator Seth Goodall to kick off the 3rd Annual Massachusetts Small Business Matchmaker event hosted by Senator Warren in partnership with SBA’s ChallengeHER program. The ChallengeHER program assists women business owners to help them understand the Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Procurement Program, the federal procurement process, and to connect them with the right people.  With this knowledge, women are much better positioned to grow their business and increase revenue.

More than 200 businesses attended this full day event at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA.  GSA staff were on hand to address questions on how to do business with the federal government and how to grow companies.

"Every day, GSA works to champion the success of women-owned small businesses.Nearly 10 percent of our federal contracts -  worth approximately $350 million - were awarded to women-owned small businesses in fiscal year 2015 — surpassing the federal 5 percent goal. This commitment is key to increasing opportunities for women entrepreneurs doing business with the government, and to helping create the jobs America needs," said GSA Administrator Denise Turner Roth.
