Voice of America (VOA)
Founded in 1942, the Voice of America (VOA) is the official external broadcast institution of the U.S. federal government. VOA provides programming for broadcast on radio, TV and the Internet outside of the U.S., in English and some foreign languages. On July 12, 1976, President Gerald Ford signed the agency’s Charter into law. The VOA Charter states that the “VOA news will be accurate, objective and comprehensive.” .
Department of Health & Human Services (HHS)
HHS is the United States government's principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves. The Department includes more than 300 programs, covering a wide spectrum of activities. These programs include: the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a premier research facility, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which ensures the safety of food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and medical devices, and the Medicare and Medicaid health care programs.
