GSA Publishes Final Alliant 2 & Alliant 2 Small Business Requests for Proposals

WASHINGTON — The General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) has released the final Request For Proposals (RFPs) for Alliant 2 and Alliant 2 Small Business (A2/A2SB) on FedBizOpps (FBO) with a deadline for proposal submission of August 29, 2016. These Government-wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) are the next generation solution successors to the successful Alliant and Alliant Small Business (A/ASB) GWACs and provide flexible access to customized IT solutions from a large, diverse pool of industry partners, including small business.

“The Alliant team at GSA has worked diligently to engage with stakeholders on a transparent, collaborative and interactive process, including both federal agency and industry partner involvement during the pre-solicitation phase,” said Mary Davie, Assistant Commissioner, GSA Office of Integrated Technology Services. “The results of that engagement are well-rounded final RFPs that build on the success of the first generation Alliant solutions, and that incorporate feedback from customers and the vendor community. These next-gen Alliant vehicles have great potential to provide agencies with new IT offerings, expanded scope, and flexible options while driving down costs for the American taxpayer.”

The next generation Alliant GWACs will continue to support agencies in their long-term planning of large scale program requirements. Enhancements in A2/A2SB include scope improvements, new information technology (IT) service labor categories, new cybersecurity standards, and new environmental standards. In addition, required Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) regulations/provisions have been incorporated into to the master contract and now automatically flow down to the Task Order level on any/all Task Orders issued by a Department of Defense (DOD) agency.

The RFPs will remain open for industry response for 60 days.  More information is available at the A2/A2SB web site and the A2/A2SB Interact Community Web Site.
