Region 2 Hosts Annual Client Workshop
PBS Region 2 hosted its annual Client Workshop in New York City on June 13, with more than 30 representatives from a range of our client agencies in attendance. While the workshop centered on PBS operations, the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) also provided insight on their multiple award schedule program and sustainability initiatives.
We surveyed our client agencies on topics in advance, to ensure that the day was helpful and informative for our audience. Topics included PBS pricing policy, sustainability and energy, FAS acquisition solutions, BA 54 funding, and Reimbursable Work Authorizations (RWAs).
The workshop was a great success, and resulted in an important dialogue between our subject matter experts and client agencies regarding their experiences with GSA, and the processes our clients feel work well, as well as procedures that cause frustration. As a result of the workshop, we have initiated an effort to conduct interviews with our client agencies regarding their expectations of GSA as project managers.
The following agencies have agreed to participate in the project:
- Social Security Administration
- Federal Bureau of Investigation
- U.S. District Courts
- U.S. Circuit Courts
- Federal Emergency Management Agency
- Executive Office of U.S. Attorneys
The representatives will be asked questions about their expectations of PBS as project managers, the quality of communication with PBS through the duration of projects, and their overall experience with PBS regarding project delivery. PBS will use the information to identify areas where it needs to improve performance and implement changes to its project management efforts. The interviews with representatives from the participating agencies were completed at the end of July 2012.
Feedback from client agencies plays a vital part in our success and we encourage all of our client agencies to share concerns with Project Managers, Regional Account Managers (RAMs), or other points of contact within PBS Region 2.
