The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management named GSA CIO Casey Coleman the public sector winner of the 2010 Award for Leadership in Innovation at its annual CIO Symposium on May 19. Each year, the prestigious award is given to individuals from the public and private sectors who foster a culture within their organization that enables the innovative use of technology and organizational processes to drive business value.

"The president has made innovation a top priority in government, and by bestowing this award on me, you honor GSA, an agency dedicated to driving innovation throughout government," said Coleman upon receiving the award. "This further honors GSA by highlighting the agency's environment of openness and transparency throughout government, and for making government more accessible to the public, which the nation's citizens deserve and expect."
