Administrator Johnson Says That Green Really Does Sell

Speaking to corporate executives, Johnson said GSA is perfectly positioned with the right products and solutions to help government agencies reduce their overall impact on the environment. Johnson said that doing business in an environmentally friendly way is not a passing fad, but a trend that is here to stay.

"I think we’re beginning to see that green really does sell," she said.

Johnson concluded by offering leadership strategies for private-sector management of corporate social responsibility. "With leadership, with strategies, with changed language, with measurements, and with good collaboration, we can move forward," she said.

GSA is doing its part to help move the nation toward a clean energy economy. Ongoing initiatives include a swift and aggressive push to get Americans back to work in long-lasting, green-collar sectors such as solar energy by significantly ramping up agency solar installation projects throughout the nation.
