Excavation work is currently underway at the port’s headhouse building. Once complete, it will allow U.S. Customs & Border Protection Officers to oversee operations.

Lanes of interstate 5 freeway were modified to reroute traffic via a temporary roadway to the new Mexican inspection station, El Chaparral.

Completed and opened just in time for the holidays, new northbound inspection booths in double stacked configuration (two booths in the same lane, one in front of the other) opened operation.
