The seven-story Bible building was built in 1985 and purchased from the developer by GSA in 1987. It is named after former Attorney General and subsequently U.S. Senator for Nevada, Alan Bible.

The Alan Bible Federal Building, Foley Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, Lloyd D. George United States Courthouse, and the new Federal Justice Tower under construction are located within one block of each other on Las Vegas Boulevard. GSA is in the process of relocating federal tenants to other buildings and ultimately disposing of this property.
