Katy Kale - Chief of Staff

Katy Kale is the Chief of Staff for the U.S. General Services Administration.

In this position, she uses her extensive management experience to help position GSA as a strategic leader for the entire federal government. Ms. Kale’s focus is on strengthening GSA as a proactive federal partner and economic catalyst to provide the highest-value resources and services to the government. 

Prior to joining GSA, Kale served as Assistant to the President for Management and Administration, where she was responsible for day­to-day White House operations, and for centralized financial management and administrative efficiency across the Executive Office of the President.

During President Obama’s first term, she served as Deputy Assistant to the President for Management and Administration and as Special Assistant to the President and Director of White House Operations. As a senior member of the Obama­Biden transition team, she served as Director of Operations.

Earlier, Ms. Kale’s nearly 10 years in the United States Senate included serving as Administrative Director to Senators Sherrod Brown (OH) and Bill Nelson (FL), amongst other roles.

She is a graduate of George Mason University.
