ePM Goals and Vision
There are several important goals for ePM, including:
Consolidate external ePM tools with a single enterprise ePM system.
Provide a Sensitive but Unclassified (SBU) compliant, secure workspace to collaborate with architect/engineering/construction (AEC) industry partners and customers.
Create a central repository for project-related files, documents, and correspondence, and contract submissions.
Standardize PM processes across all 11 regions.
Avoid duplication of data entry by integrating with other PBS systems (IRIS, BIS, etc.).
Implement commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software so that ePM is compatible with industry advances in project delivery (e.g., BIM).
Enable rigorous analysis of data and trends across portfolios, programs, and projects to optimize lessons learned and value-engineering opportunities.
