CAR Hosts Three Day/Three City GSA Training Tour

June 23-25 2015 - Region 4 Customer Accounts and Research (CAR) Customer Service Directors (CSD) Warren Richey, Joseph Myers, and Kelly Zimmerman held a Three Day/Three City GSA training tour designed to increase client agency’s knowledge of GSA solutions.

The training events began June 23rd at the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, MS. The team provided in-depth training on GSA Solutions, Advantage, eBuy and eLibrary to over 80 Government Purchase card (GPC) holders. The team provided live training on Advantage and eBuy, giving attendees hands on experience in using these tools.

On June 24th, CSDs met with contracting professionals at South Central VA Health Care Network (VISN16) in Jackson, Mississippi. The team again provided focused  training on GSA Solutions and eTools.

The last stop of the GSA training tour, June 25th, was at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Mobile, AL. For this event, the training team was joined by Eddie Mills with GSA Direct Client Support (DCS). Eddie outlined the differences between Schedule (FAR Part 8.4) vs Open Market (FAR Part 13 and 15) ordering procedures. Warren, Joseph and Kelly rounded out the day by presenting on GSA Reverse Auctions Platform, Schedules / eLibrary, and Advantage.
