GSA's FEDSIM Works with DoD to Improve Global Threat Management

$937M OASIS Award Supports Integrated Mitigation Program for Coalition of Joint Commands

WASHINGTON: The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced today that FEDSIM (Federal Systems Integration Management and Center) has issued a $937 million award to Booz| Allen| Hamilton to support how the Department of Defense (DoD) detects, mitigates and manages global threats

DoD chose FEDSIM because of their experience and track record of successful mission-centric work. FEDSIM will manage this contract for The Global Threat Mitigation Program, supported by an integrated coalition of joint commands, including the U.S. Army National Guard, Army Commands/Army Service Component Commands (ACOMs/ASCCs) and Combatant Commands (COCOMs). The award to Booz| Allen| Hamilton was made using GSA’s OASIS (One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services) and represents the largest OASIS award to date.  OASIS is a Multiple-Award, Indefinite Quantity- Indefinite Delivery (ID/IQ) contract providing flexible and integrated acquisition solutions for complex professional services requirements.

GSA Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Tom Sharpe said:

“The work done by the FEDSIM team on this contract will be instrumental in supporting DoD’s mission to protect the American people.  In a rapidly changing and increasingly threatening global landscape, transforming and improving the way current and future global threats are detected and managed is a mission-critical requirement. This is a great example of the complex work that GSA has demonstrated can be supported through OASIS.”

OASIS Program Executive Jim Ghiloni said:

“The OASIS contracts are uniquely positioned and designed to meet DoD’s complex professional services requirements.  This is why our partners at Department of Homeland Security, Air Force and Army have all signed MOUs (Memorandum Of Understanding) with GSA identifying OASIS as a preferred strategic sourcing vehicle to meet these type of mission-critical needs.  As we were building the OASIS program, this is exactly the type of integrated, solutions-centric, requirement that we envisioned would be competed through OASIS. ”

As the government-wide leader in awarding and managing complex, integrated and high-risk professional services and IT procurements, GSA’s Assisted Acquisition Services FEDSIM team has provided assisted acquisition solutions to government agencies since 1972.  The Global Threat Mitigation Program is yet another example of FEDSIM’s  highly-effective, results-oriented engagements.
