Cybersecurity/Information Assurance(CyberIA) Project

Project Overview

As part of the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Category Management Initiative, the Office of Integrated Technology Services (ITS) has launched the Cybersecurity/Information Assurance (CyberIA) Project. This special initiative aims to improve ITS’ cybersecurity offerings by engaging with our federal agency partners and industry partners to collectively enhance the ITS CyberIA acquisition experience and deliver value to our federal agency partners.

To kick off the initiative, we released the CyberIA Request For Information (RFI) on August 12, 2015 to gather feedback from industry. The response has been overwhelmingly insightful. Over 60 vendors submitted responses with very astute feedback on some proposed changes to IT Schedule 70.

Why participate in this project?

By participating in this project, federal agency partners will play an active role in shaping how GSA structures its solutions to clearly distinguish CyberIA products and services from other technology offerings, making the procurement process more efficient and cost effective. Industry partners gain a competitive edge by providing valuable guidance on how GSA will create centralized, streamlined access to CyberIA products and services to meet the needs federal agencies, as well as state and local entities.
