Join us for the May 12 2016 Professional Services virtual Office Hours for the federal acquisition community. This month Contracting Officer Kathy Jocoy will provide an overview and Q&A of GSA’s  The PSS Cosolidation and how it should benefit Federal Agencies

Federal Acquisition Service is improving its professional services offerings. As a first step, GSA has consolidated its professional services Multiple Award Schedule offerings into one Professional Services Schedule (PSS). Prior to the consolidation of the seven single MAS schedules (MOBIS,PES, Logworld, AIMs, FABs, Environmental and Language), if an agency had requirements that crossed over multiple schedules they would have to, in most cases, issue multiple RFQs. Under the PSS program if an agency has multiple requirements that cross over multiple services they now simply issue a single RFQ.

With the newly established Professional Services Schedule (PSS), the benefits for a more stream lined efficient ordering process under FAR 8.4, agencies can:
Save time,
Customize their terms and conditions
Ensure adequate small business participation
Obtain total solutions to complex professional-services requirements from a single source
Reduce costs associated with managing various Schedules
Increase program efficiency through fewer contracts and solicitations
and do it all through the use of simplified acquisition procedures.
