Acquiring Excess Personal Property for DOD

Is your unit short on funds? Is your old furniture worn out? Excess federal personal property is available at no cost.

You can even create a “want list” and be notified when items of interest become available.

“FUN FACT”: as per the Federal Acquisition Register (FAR) 8.102 “When practicable, agencies shall use excess personal property as the first source of supply for agency and cost-reimbursement contractor requirements. Agency personnel shall make positive efforts to satisfy agency requirements by obtaining and using excess personal property (including that suitable for adaptation or substitution) before initiating a contract action.” GSA’s Personal Property Management is here to help!
