Assisted Acquisition Services
Doing Business with Assisted Acquisition Services Region 8
Doing business with the Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) is simple. AAS works through Interagency Agreements to establish the service level expectation, schedule and funding mechanism. As a cost-reimbursable, non-appropriated organization, services are offered on a fee-for-service basis. The fee is based on a percentage of overall project value, sliding scale the higher the project dollar value the lower the fee.
AAS provides solutions in agreement with specific authority under 40 U.S.C. 501 and in agreement with an Executive Agent designation for the acquisition of information technology under the authority of the Information Technology Management Reform Act of 1996 (ITMRA) from Office of Management and Budget. Since GSA has specific statutory authority to provide services and supplies to federal agencies, the authority of the Economy Act does not apply to GSA's provision of solutions to the federal agencies, with some minor exceptions.
AAS provides full-service and far-reaching capability that allows for support on a surge or long-term basis, or specific expertise. Cradle to grave management of your contract.
