WASHINGTON, DC - Applying the power of technology to fight illegal drugs, the General Services Administration has awarded Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc. a task order to provide information technology support to the Defense Information Systems Agency's Anti-Drug Network (ADNET) Program.
Part of GSA's Federal Technology Service, the Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) selected Booz-Allen from 11 FTS Millennia contract holders as the winner of the task order valued in excess of $136 million over eight years. The competitively awarded, performance-based task order will provide support and services related to the continuing modernization of the ADNET and its related network environment.
"The partnership between DISA and FEDSIM has been instrumental in the success of ADNET over the past decade," said Tim McCurdy, FEDSIM Director. Booz-Allen & Hamilton had been providing ADNET support through a now-completed task order that FEDSIM established and managed since 1996.
ADNET is an integrated information network to share anti-drug information across a wide range of organizations involved in fighting drugs or drug-related crime. Designed to enhance detection, monitoring, interdiction, and casebuilding operations, as well as facilitate information sharing, the multimedia information system employs real-time secure communications, data sharing and data analysis capabilities.
FEDSIM, GSA's large-scale IT systems integrator, provides a wide range of support for planning, developing, acquiring, implementing, maintaining, and managing IT resources and support services. Established in 1972, FEDSIM has a proven track record of developing innovative, award-winning solutions to government IT problems and satisfying requirements for specific IT products and services.
Millennia is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract vehicle which enables GSA to meet the Federal Government's demand for large systems integration and development projects by supporting its clients in a timely and cost-effective manner.
