Helps Government Agencies Choose Best-Fit Contract for Faster Procurements and Savings
WASHINGTON -- The U.S. General Services Administration’s Office of Integrated Technology Services today launched a new e-tool designed to help federal, state and local governments navigate the myriad ways to purchase IT from GSA, getting agencies to the best-fit solution for their needs. GSA’s IT Solutions Navigator will help government agencies buy IT products and services by matching customer requirements to GSA’s best IT contract vehicles quickly and effectively.
“We are in constant contact with our customers and we understand the challenges they face with IT acquisition. We’ve heard how difficult it is to find the optimal contract vehicles to meet their requirements. In response to these challenges, we developed the IT Solutions Navigator tool,” said GSA Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Integrated Technology Services, Mary Davie. “The Navigator helps our customers easily decide which GSA contract vehicle will be the best one for their requirements. Our goal is to make acquiring IT through GSA easy. The IT Solutions Navigator takes a lot of the guesswork out of the process and gets us closer to that goal.”
The GSA IT Solutions Navigator provides an easy-to-use, web-based portal to simplify and expedite the acquisition of IT for GSA’s government agency customers. In three easy steps, the IT Solutions Navigator takes a customer’s requirements and provides that customer with the best-fit GSA contract vehicle solutions to fit their needs as well as an appropriate pointof-contact for more information. GSA’s IT Solutions Navigator will also make it easier for government contracting officers and procurement teams to conduct pre-acquisition market research on IT products and services as well as find the best acquisition vehicles for their requirements.
User feedback during the developmental stages of the tool provided GSA with additional direction on other valuable features like Live Chat that provides instant access to an IT acquisition expert as well as the option to contact GSA’s Assisted Acquisition Services team for end-to-end help in managing all types of IT procurements.
The IT Solutions Navigator Tool can be found at https://navigator.gsa.gov/app/#/. Video tutorials are available as is ITS’ new live chat function so users can chat online directly to a customer service representative without having to call or e-mail.
