Video Contest Fosters Creativity

An engaging video featuring upbeat music and lyrics put together by a father of two from Nashville, Tennessee, is the winner of’s first-ever video contest to demonstrate how the award-winning web portal can help citizens.

On February 22, GSA launched the YouTube video challenge, which called on citizens to create a video that uniquely showcases how makes it easier to find vital government information.

Peter Sullivan, of Nashville, Tennessee, wrote, filmed and starred in the winning video, with the help of family members and friends.

More than 30 entries were submitted from across the United States. GSA used the video contest to capitalize on new media that allows the public to share and showcase creativity. provides information and links to more than 10,000 pages of federal, state, and local government information.
