The National Personnel Records Center — an office and storage facility for the National Archives at St. Louis — was officially dedicated Oct. 15, 2011. The NPRC is the repository for millions of archival holdings of official military personnel files from all services during the 20th century after World War I. It also houses civilian and other related records.
Record storage areas meet facility standards for fire safety, as well as strict regulations for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and humidity controls. In addition, the building is certified in the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) program.
Bus service is convenient for public access, as well as 700 on-site parking spaces for workers and visitors.
