Mailroom and Delivery Services at the Zorinsky Building
United State Postal Service (USPS)
Security: All mail delivered by the USPS must be X-rayed by the security guard service prior to delivery.
Procedure: All mail must be opened in the building common mailroom, Facility Room 138. This room is designed to contain biological terrorism attacks.
Designated official: Each tenant agency must designate an official to sign for parcels, prints, and other accountable mail delivered by USPS. The officials's name and phone number should be listed on the call list of the mailroom directory. If mailroom staff call and get no response, the items will be returned to the USPS.
Accountable mail includes: Collect on Delivery (COD), Priority Mail Express, Certified Mail, USPS Tracking, and Signature Confirmation.
Delivery Schedule:Tenants should expect United State Postal Service (USPS) delivery by noon each day. The USPS will pick up outgoing mail weighing 13 ounces and under. Tenants must take outgoing mail directly to a USPS-approved location, such as a post office, Contract Postal Unit, or Approved Shipper location.
Secure Floor: All packages delivered by commercial mail service should be picked up by a designated agency official at the loading dock, following screening.
Non-secure Floor: If agency official is located on non-secure floors then the delivery is made to the office, after it is screened.
