2019 Tenant Satisfaction Survey
The Tenant Satisfaction Survey (TSS) is an annual survey that assesses GSA tenants’ satisfaction with your work environment including building services, security and facility management services.
This year’s survey will be distributed to tenants in GSA controlled buildings, both owned and leased, beginning early July. During the first week of the survey period, each federal employee will receive an email with a unique survey link to provide their feedback. As in recent years, the survey will be offered online and via mobile device and should take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete. The results are important in helping us improve your work environment. We use your feedback to address concerns through building improvements.
In the 2018 TSS, the William J. Green, Jr. Federal Building tenants mentioned improvements they thought could be made in some building areas. The GSA Philadelphia Field Office is continuously looking for ways to improve first impressions. Painting the garage elevator lobby was a perfect opportunity to spruce up the space. The scope of work included installation of new LED lights and fixtures; fresh paint on the walls, elevator doors and ceiling; and new cove base throughout the area.
At the Veterans Administration Center in Philadelphia, respondents indicated in 2018 that several restrooms were in need of attention. Based on that feedback and the positive comments received on floor restorations and restroom bank projects that were completed the past several years, we recently contracted for additional restrooms to undergo the same rehabilitation. We believe this will show our customers that their voice matters and we continue to program projects based off of survey information.
We also recently completed a major overhaul to the HVAC and electrical switch-gear systems at the Federal Building in Wheeling, West Virginia. The project included replacing the existing main building switchboard with a higher capacity unit, replacing the two existing 60-ton rooftop air cooled chillers with larger 90 ton chillers, as well as other minor HVAC related upgrades. The improvements help ensure tenant comfort and proper operation of the building's electrical system.
Your cooperation and support in completing the survey and encouraging your coworkers or employees to do so is greatly appreciated. The more feedback we gather, the better equipped we are to provide improved and productive work environments for your agency and all of our building tenants and visitors.
