Dale Anderson honored with a gold medal for Steadfast Achievement
Mid-Atlantic PBS is proud to announce that our own Dale Anderson was honored as the Steadfast Achievement gold medalist in the 2022 Philadelphia Federal Executive Board’s (FEB) Excellence in Government Awards program. The steadfast achievement award goes to someone with a distinguished record of innovative and high impact accomplishments over more than 20 years of federal service.
Dale has been a steadfast leader at GSA for 35 years. His real estate acquisition and asset management expertise have contributed significantly to R3’s $405.7 million in lease cost avoidance since 2018. He continues to guide GSA towards aggressive financial performance goals, saving taxpayer dollars by improving federal lease execution nationwide.
Having held diverse leadership positions throughout GSA during his career, Dale is a talented strategist who understands the real estate market and the GSA/client relationship. Beyond his varied experiences in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Dale has served GSA across the nation in various leadership roles including Acting PBS Regional Commissioner for GSA’s Southeast Sunbelt Region in Atlanta as well as in the Northwest/Arctic Region in Washington state. Dale has also served as Senior Advisor for the GSA Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator.
Dale is a Certified Project Management Professional and a 2003 graduate of the GSA Executive Leadership Program. He attended Marshall University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance and economics, as well as a master’s degree in business administration.
Perhaps the best testimony to his impact on GSA is the generation of professionals Dale has mentored. He continues to challenge the next generation of real estate practitioners and leaders to think strategically.
Each year, the FEB Excellence in Government Awards program recognizes federal employees for their outstanding accomplishments in meeting the needs of constituents and the general public. Sixty-six nominees from 15 federal agencies were nominated for the 2022 program. Congratulations to all 2022 FEB Award medalists.
