Doreen Waltrich is our new Director of Acquisition Management

Mid-Atlantic PBS is pleased to announce Doreen Waltrich as the Director of the Acquisition Management Division (AMD). As Director of Acquisition Management, Waltrich provides acquisition policy guidance, oversight and support to Regional PBS organizations for services and construction acquisitions.

In her role prior to Director, Waltrich served as AMD’s Chief of the Acquisition Services North Branch where she provided acquisition policy guidance, oversight and support throughout Pennsylvania as well as to the Social Security Administration’s headquarters clients in Woodlawn, Maryland.

Waltrich has over 30 years of experience in the acquisition field. Her prior experiences include serving as the Chief for the Programs, Policy and Compliance Branch in AMD, responsible for providing regional guidance on policy, technical advice, assistance, and access to acquisition related information that promote improved consistency, compliance and effectiveness of regional PBS acquisitions. She also led the Central Office team that conducted Procurement Management Reviews of PBS contract actions across all 11 GSA regions.

In looking forward to her new role, Waltrich says, "I’m looking forward to collaborating across our divisions and achieving effective coordination with stakeholders to improve our program and project management as an organization. The landscape has changed now that we in government are operating in a hybrid workspace. Open communication along with trust will be keys to ensure engagement and sustaining our successful team culture. Establishing the right flow of information and feedback, involving stakeholders and sharing decisions will be critical to our success and so I am excited to see what the new year brings."

Waltrich holds a bachelor’s degree from Temple University and a graduate certificate in Business from Temple University Fox School of Business. She has been a certified Project Manager for the past 20 years and also holds a Level 3 Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C program for contracting professionals in the federal government).
