Furniture Blanket Purchase Agreement on the way

GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center Division (IWAC) is establishing its first nationwide acquisition Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to aid in fulfilling smaller dollar furniture projects. The vehicle will be broken down into three single award zonal BPAs: East Zone, Central Zone and West Zone.

The procurement vehicle, primarily intended for purchases below $1 million, will cover the following: sustainable benching workstations, systems furniture, private office furniture, filing, storage, conference and meeting tables, seating and other accessory products as well as design, project management and installation services.

The current method involves competing requirements among multiple vendors, which adds additional time to already tight schedules. This has led to inconsistent, mixed results in project delivery and customer satisfaction. By having these single award zonal BPAs in place, your PBS project manager will be able to place orders and deliver in a more timely manner.

FAS IWAC conducted requests for information and surveyed industry to gauge interest and obtain feedback regarding the vehicle’s structure. Over 90 vendors attended an industry day in March 2022, and 131 vendors expressed interest in receiving a request for a quote. As the procurement progresses, IWAC looks forward to fulfilling the furniture needs of PBS customers through this BPA.
