GSA's Furniture Industry Forum makes a big impact

On June 10, GSA's Furniture Industry Forum, the Quality Partnership Council (QPC), adapted to the current COVID-19 environment and hosted its first 100% virtual meeting for more than 500 furniture and furnishings suppliers and customers.

QPC, established by GSA's Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center (IWAC), partnered with speakers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and GSA Public Buildings Service to deliver an agenda packed with highly relevant and timely content for both industry and federal furniture buyers. Topics included preparing for the return to the office, Multiple Award Schedule consolidation, and the Army's upcoming furniture projects. GSA Federal Acquisition Service Regional Commissioner Dena McLaughlin was joined by Acting GSA Chief Architect Chuck Hardy and GSA IWAC Director Ryan Schrank to kick-off the meeting.

The QPC works to promote a common understanding among furniture customers, contractors, and GSA through communication, education and collaborative efforts. In recent years, QPC has met in-person, twice annually. You can view a recording of the event and may request copies of the materials used during the presentations by contacting furniture@gsa.gov. Visit GSA's QPC page to join the QPC and learn more.
