Welcome to new Client Planning Managers Susan Geiger and Pam Pollard
This fall, Mid-Atlantic PBS welcomed two new Client Planning Managers, Susan Geiger and Pam Pollard, to the Customer Accounts Branch, Portfolio Management Division. The Customer Accounts Branch is responsible for client relationship management and strategic planning. Our team of Client Planning Managers develop and leverage strategic client relationships in order to solve problems and advocate for our customers.
Susan Geiger joins the Customer Accounts Branch with 20 years of federal experience, 10 years as a GSA Lease Contracting Officer for a variety of lease projects. As the LCO of a Bureau of the Public Debt prospectus project, Susan worked with a team using source selection to build a facility that could accommodate the Bureau’s large presence in Parkersburg, WV. In addition to her role as LCO, Susan trained numerous Realty Specialists who continue serving to advance their clients’ missions.
Prior to her tenure with GSA, Susan worked for 10 years with the Internal Revenue Service, spending the majority of her time as a Support Services Specialist in their Facilities Management Branch. Susan prepared space requirements for IRS and worked closely with her GSA counterparts in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia to secure IRS leased and federal space in Pennsylvania.
In addition to her federal service, Susan has worked as a counselor. With her combination of expertise in leasing, facilities management, and counseling, Susan brings a wealth of knowledge and unique experience in leasing to her new Client Planning Manager position. Susan says about her new role, “I take great pleasure in helping customers discern their needs and then translating those needs into strategic terms that will satisfy their expectations and requirements. My hope is to quickly acquire customer knowledge and serve as a bridge to my GSA colleagues as we work together to provide the best space options for our customers at the best value.”
Pam Pollard joins the Customer Accounts Branch from her previous position as the Philadelphia Field Office Operations Manager of the James A. Byrne U.S. Courthouse and William J. Green, Jr. Federal Building Complex.
Pam graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in communications arts and sciences and a minor in business administration. She has been with GSA for 14 years serving in multiple roles in the field office including Lease Administrator, Building Manager, and most recently as Operations Manager. During the last seven years, Pam has been responsible for overseeing the downtown Philadelphia federal leasing inventory as well as operations of the Robert N.C. Nix U.S. Courthouse, U.S. Custom House, and the Byrne/Green federal complex. As Operations Manager, Pam has been involved in the successful ongoing renovation project at the William J. Green, Jr. Federal Building. This 10-year $150 million prospectus project is overcoming the challenges of renovating a fully-occupied building during normal business hours.
In addition to her daily responsibilities, Pam has shared her expertise with the U.S. Courts by participating in a Service Delivery Excellence conference, speaking at the Service Validation Initiative conference on a building management panel, and participating on a building management panel alongside Court executives at the Administrative Office of the Courts in Washington D.C. Pam has also performed temporary assignments in GSA to broaden her experience as a Lead Asset Manager in the Portfolio Management Division, Deputy Regional Emergency Coordinator, and in the Facilities Management Division. She holds her BOMA Real Property Administrator and Facilities Management Administrator designations.
Pam is looking forward to changing gears from a tactical background to a more strategic approach. “I’m confident that my firsthand knowledge of federal customers will be beneficial to my new role. I’m looking forward to developing those relationships further and learning more facets of PBS business.”
Client assignments for Susan include the Department of Homeland Security, NASA, NRC, SEC, NARA and MSPB. Pam is assigned to work with the Judiciary, USAO, USMS, FCC, FMSHRC and U.S. Tax Court.
