GSA's Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) in the National Capital Region (NCR) serves a large community of federal and military clients. NCR Assisted Acquisition Service (AAS) has the technical expertise to develop procurement solutions for requirements in IT, network services, and professional services.

The procurement tool kit includes all GSA contract vehicles, including the WITS 3 contract for local telecommunications services, the Alliant Government wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), and the Alliant Small Business GWAC. These comprehensive full-service solutions can support government missions for short-term or long-term projects. The working relationship between the NCR and customer agencies is formalized through an Interagency Agreement, which meets Office of Management and Budget guidelines and establishes service level expectations, task scheduling and funding. GWACs provide a full range of complementary management, technical, and support services that enable government customers to tailor requirements to their unique needs. All GWACs offer a streamlined acquisition process and can be used to obtain a variety of services. Veterans Technology Services contracting opportunities are designed for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses that specialize in IT application development, computer equipment management, and information assurance offerings.

The 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS) contract enables customer agencies to gain credit for using a small, disadvantaged business to meet the needs of the government. FAS NCR is an advocate for businesses of all sizes and works closely with industry partners to meet the needs of the federal government clients.
