Travelers Advised of Ongoing Construction at San Luis I Land Port of Entry

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is preparing to construct a new pedestrian facility at the San Luis I Land Port of Entry (LPOE) and would like to announce the following minor changes to vehicle and pedestrian routes exiting the port. Road signs will be in place to alert travelers to reduce speeds and guide the traveling public.
Northbound Non-Commercial Vehicle Lanes
What: In order to accommodate construction of a new pedestrian processing annex at the San Luis I LPOE, GSA will be closing one of the three vehicle exit lanes to Main Street at the port. All vehicle lanes will reopen at the completion of construction.
Where: The easternmost exit lane to Main Street at the San Luis I LPOE just beyond the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) primary inspection booths.
When: Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. to Fall 2018
Northbound Pedestrian Travelers
What: GSA will divert pedestrians proceeding northbound through the San Luis I LPOE, after the primary inspection station, onto a walkway along Main Street. Signs will direct pedestrians onto the walkway. The pedestrian walkway will reopen at the completion of construction.
Where: Immediately upon exiting the north side of the pedestrian-processing facility at the San Luis I LPOE.
When: Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 6 a.m. to Fall 2018.
